How much does it cost to charge my electric car?

When charging your electric car at home the cost will depend on your energy provider and the rates they charge. 

If you’re paying 0.28c per kWh (an average price during peak periods within Victoria) it will cost you $2.80 (10kW x 0.28) to charge it enough to travel 100km. For example the Nissan LEAF claims to have a driving range of up to 400 kms, which means a full charge will cost you $11.20 ($2.80 x 4). (Source - Whichcar)
